General

Cherriepie and Ruck come back from a long extended break. Welcome home you nubs! Upon returning, Cherriepie has joined Dreams Dynamis. PrincessDiamand, one of our newer LoC Members also joins Dreams Dynamis. Welcome ladies, the water's warm . . . but probably because Dor peed in it.

Sky

Sky is sky. We did 1 Genbu and 1 Seiryu. Unfortunately our male photographer was away posing for pentmog magazine and we are screenshotless. Nonetheless, our drops are as follows:

Dynamis B. Glacier

Well, we started late, but not because we wanted to. Perseverance was finishing up their glass on our zone, so Caelan was getting anxious and gave their mule a swift kick in the . . . shin? Caelan you bad boy!

We did pretty well last night with 25 members and killed the fake dynamis boss stone. Kriist and monks (and later we found out thieves too) don't mix like 2 d*cks, but then again as a manthra. Kriist lives by the words "we don't take it, we give it!", but I saw him taking a lot to the tail and eating some dirt last night. Might wanna change your phrase, bud!

One AF2 dropped last night and it was our first. It should have went to me, but I thought Caelan could put more use into it right now.

Sky & Limbus



Due to the Easter weekend holiday, many of our LS members were missing, so there were no notable accomplishments for this section of Dreams.


Dynamis - Xarcabard


Two words: Bad run. As a co-leader, I'm still "feeling the ropes" on this zone. Other zones are easier with 21-24 members because of SE's zone setup. Xarcabard is extremely difficult for a low-man setup because of the following factors:


1) There are stones AND eyes
2) Demons are harder to kill than orcs, yags, quadavs, and gobs
3) The NMs pop in 3s, and are hard to hold them.


Our first Xarcabard run in the prior week, Cherron sac pulled every stage which made things very easy for us. But this week he was missing and, well, I didn't pick up on it quite as fast. I tried to see if instead of sac-pulling, we could get our tanks to kite 2 NMs around while we finished off 1, but that proved quite ugly. I think I must have killed everyone more than 8 times this run, but it was quite a learning experience.

Kindred Seal 99
The Early Bird Catches the Wyrm

Dreams' first attempt at this specific KS99. The first attempt was a wipe. We rushed in and didn't let the tanks get enough hate before the skillchains went off. The melees skillchained in the beginning (all of them /WAR), and the black mages bursted crazy - from 100-50% in 30 seconds. The dragon then flew in the air and began to kill everyone us with fire spells. Hate was not controlled and we had to accept the wipe. No reraise was possible due to it drawing in the members.

Our second attempt was all win. We decided to go slow and steady in the beginning, allowing the melees to bring our dragon somewhere around 65% HP before skillchaining. The skillchain sent the dragon to the air. Upon flight, Starfyre (RDM/DRK) activated chainspell and stunned it, while the our cute black mage team proceded to nuke heavy to bring the dragon back down the ground at 25%. The melees then proceeded to bring the dragon to its knees in defeat.

Dreams just popped 1 Water and fought 1 Genbu, which dropped 2 A.hands. Unbelieveable!

Dynamis Xarcabard

Tonite marks Dreams' first attempt at Dynamis Xarcabard. We did pretty well with our 21 members and obtained some really nice drops!

Congratulations to Dor for obtaining his WHM AF2 Cleric's Mitts . . . after 5 long years of Dynamis experience, he's missing 2 pieces of AF2 to be 5/5 on SMN or WHM. What a guy!

Poor Caelan lotted a 108 on Valor Surcoat, but he obtains a consolation prize of a Wyrm Armet. Congratulations Caelan!

We got Despot again, farmed 2 Autumnstones, and popped Ulli 3x. We then proceeded to Byakko and killed him with 16 members.
